About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sustainable Design Consultant to join our client’s expanding Sustainable Design team. With projects spanning property, education, defence, and government services, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape sustainable solutions and influence industry-leading designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery:

• Lead energy and carbon modelling, including Part L thermal modelling, operational energy analysis, and thermal comfort assessments.
• Develop and deliver sustainability strategies for projects, including energy and sustainability statements for planning applications.
• Manage project workstreams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Lead design team workshops, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting them through the project lifecycle.

Research & Development:

• Participate in R&D initiatives to drive innovative, sustainable solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.

Team Development:

• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Environmental Science, Architecture, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations Part L.
• Proven experience conducting energy, carbon, and comfort calculations using IES VE or similar simulation tools.
• Ability to perform non-domestic energy assessments for planning.

Desirable:

• Experience in HVAC modelling for operational energy assessments.
• Familiarity with project management tools and processes.
• Willingness to apply for security clearance (if required).
