About the Role
The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager to join its Engineering Department. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large team within a lower-tier COMAH facility and contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments, overseeing a team of 25 staff and contractors as required.
- Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance department to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Lead mechanical project engineering activities within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Maintain and utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage maintenance activities.
- Promote a strong Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) culture, ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within the company and with external stakeholders such as suppliers, contractors, HSE, and insurance inspectors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Minimum: HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferred: Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CMMS and excellent computer skills.
- Strong personnel management and leadership abilities.
- Flexibility to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing operational priorities.

Work Schedule
