About the Role

The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager to join its Engineering Department. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large team within a lower-tier COMAH facility and contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments, overseeing a team of 25 staff and contractors as required.
  • Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance department to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Lead mechanical project engineering activities within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain and utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage maintenance activities.
  • Promote a strong Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) culture, ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the company and with external stakeholders such as suppliers, contractors, HSE, and insurance inspectors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:
    • Minimum: HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Preferred: Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • At least 10 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in CMMS and excellent computer skills.
    • Strong personnel management and leadership abilities.
    • Flexibility to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing operational priorities.

Work Schedule
