Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing remote and on-site technical support to customers, assisting with troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and commissioning systems. Additionally, you will support the sales team with site surveys, reviewing specifications, preparing quotations, and creating AutoCAD drawings for first and second fix solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background in electronics, IT, or the security industry who is passionate about technology and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remote Support: Provide assistance via email, phone, or remote PC login sessions to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • On-Site Support: Conduct in-depth diagnostics and assist with system commissioning when remote solutions are not feasible.
  • Sales Support: Conduct site surveys, review specifications and drawings, prepare quotations, and create AutoCAD drawings for installation solutions.
  • Customer Assistance: Offer exceptional customer service by resolving technical issues promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to share insights, improve processes, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Background in electronics, IT, or security industry equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with security equipment (e.g., intercoms, access control, CCTV, fire alarms, HVAC systems).
  • Knowledge of networking, computing, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings.
